Insulin resistance is a condition where insulin sensitivity is getting low so the body can’t response the insulin hormone as usual then it can’t also process the sugar metabolism normally. It can increase the level of sugar in blood and become one of diabetic causation. The increasing insulin resistance is more risk to people who are overweight.

In that research, 20 overweight people who have high risk with diabetic participated in an intensive weight workout program for 4 months in a gym with a personal trainer. The result is that their fat percentage decreased, followed by the increasing muscle mass and the main result is the significant increasing of insulin sensitivity so their diabetic risk is also decrease.

You don’t have to do like that 20 people above, you who don’t have time for fitness at gym, can do a little simple weight workout regularly, like sit-up at home, push-up in your office, or lift dumbbell in your car when you’re in traffic jam. Besides it can build your muscle and increase your physical strength, it can also prevent you from diabetic. So, there’s no wrong to prepare dumbbell before the traffic jam. Well, happy workout!
